Nigeria is the largest producers of oil in Africa and is also the eleventh largest supplier of oil in the world, averaging 2.6 million barrels per day. The economy of Nigeria depends heavily on its oil sector. This sector accounts for around 80% of the revenues of the government and plays a major role in the overall development and the building of infrastructure in Nigeria.
